To help students get to know the community around the School through their direct experience, the teachers of Sotpattana School for the Deaf accompanied each class to the nearby places. They spent one hour on foot in a return trip, having passed a police booth, a motorbike taxi stand, a motorbike dealer, a bank, a gas station, a restaurant, and a convenience store and learned about these places. Each student was given 20 Baht to spend on a useful food item. Upon their return to the school, they shared their experiences with their classmates. It was a fun-filled and fruitful morning for all..
