National Children’s Day 2023
Sotpattana School for the Deaf organized this year’s celebration for all the students, and joined by orphans in pre-school age. The morning activity began with a parade of the Blue and Red teams around the Pattaya Orphanage carrying the written motto/slogan: “Dutiful, Disciplined, Perform Good Deeds,” which was given by the Thai Prime Minister for the national Children’s Day 2023, as well as the school slogan: “Happy, Cheerful, Disciplined, Warm, Healthy, Wisdom-enhancing”. Once the procession ended at the new dome building, School Director Angkana Kamnoedthon reported the event’s objectives, and requested Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak, the Acting Licensee, to mark the opening of the event. On top of the active games during which the two teams competed, there was a special magic show performed by our special guest, Dr. Maurice Dimmock of Rose Education Foundation and ASIC, United Kingdom, who captured the attention of our participants and caused excitement among them. Children enjoyed snacks in between the competitions and picked up their choice of gifts at the end. May our children be abundantly blessed..
